Trust me you’re my bud, Crawford cannot lose tonight

Let’s recap what happened last weekend.

Claressa Shields completely dominated Christina Hammer and pitched a shut out.

Vasyl Lomachenko made easy work of Anthony Crolla.  And Arnold Barboza Jr had the best fight of the night, putting Mike Alvarado away in 3.  Passes the gatekeeper, opportunities coming.  Teofimo Lopez is already calling Lomachenko out…

If you decide to tune in tonight you’re going to see the best pound for pound fighter, I truly believe, Terrance Crawford.  Its PPV, honestly maybe you shouldn’t buy it.  You can watch all the prelims on ESPN2 and then watch the main event a day or two late on YouTube.  Let’s face it, Crawford is gonna win.  Amir Khan is a talented boxer.  He may give Crawford some boxing trouble in the early rounds as Crawford will find his pace.  It inevitably wont be enough.  Watching Terrance Crawford, a true do it all kinda guy, adapt and disassemble anybody is a treat.  It’s almost better to watch on YouTube anyway.

While you’re on YouTube, we spoke with LA prospects, the Rodarte Twins on Episode 11 of the Boxed In podcast.

and there’s another freebie available for you on Fox tonight

April 20: Carson, Calif. (Fox/Fox Deportes)

  • Danny Garcia vs. Adrian Granados, 12 rounds, welterweights
  • Andy Ruiz Jr. vs. Alexander Dimitrenko, 10 rounds, heavyweights
  • Title fight: Brandon Figueroa vs. Yonfrez Parejo, 12 rounds, for vacant WBA interim junior featherweight title

As Trevor and I spoke about briefly on the podcast, Danny Garcia kind of has to not only win this one but impress, if he wants to hold status in the division.  Andy Ruiz Jr. is an exciting fighter, a Mexican American Heavyweight (rare) but he’s taking on a bigger Russian tonight.  Tune in on Fox tonight for a few good fights!

(heads up, next week I’ll be promoting a few match ups on this newsletter of a few recent Boxed In podcast guests who have fights on a PBC card next week!)

We’ve made it to 11 episodes of the podcast, please leave us a rating and review if you’ve enjoyed it.
